Description

Franco Ziliani 2008 is Berlucchi’s commemorative Riserva honouring the winemaker who created the first bottle of Franciacorta in 1961. It comes from Chardonnay in the Arzelle vineyard at Borgonato, using the heart of the juice obtained through gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, with part of the wine subsequently matured in barrique. After bottle fermentation, extended time on the lees precedes disgorgement without dosage. The cuvée was produced in limited quantities for Ziliani’s ninetieth birthday, with a sculptural brass label emphasising its commemorative significance.
