Description

Volta di Bertinga 2016 is a 100% Merlot from Bertinga in Gaiole in Chianti, bottled under the Toscana IGT appellation. It is made from a single vineyard parcel (no. 10), fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak barriques. The wine offers ripe red fruit aromas with balsamic hints and subtle chocolate tones; on the palate it shows rounded tannins, good acidity and long persistence. It is produced in limited quantities and is suitable for further cellaring.
