Louis Billard's Vosne-Romanée is made from Pinot Noir grown on clay-limestone soils and provides a Côte de Nuits reference within his personal range. Vinification involves concrete vats followed by oak-barrel maturation, gravity racking and very gentle filtration. Fermentations rely on indigenous yeasts. Experience at Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Domaine Georges Roumier helped shape Billard's outlook, with finesse and respect for terroir among his declared priorities. This village cuvée is conceived as an individual reading of Vosne-Romanée, combining small-scale production with close attention to each stage of work in the cellar.
