Description

Billaud-Simon Chablis Grand Cru Bougros comes from Chardonnay on the right bank of the Serein, in a vineyard facing south and southwest. The clay-limestone soil has a relatively high clay content compared with Chablis’s other Grands Crus. Pneumatic pressing is followed by cold settling of the juice; alcoholic and malolactic fermentation proceed naturally in stainless steel, where maturation also takes place. Its profile combines richness and roundness with a firm structure, mineral notes, candied fruit and lingering saline nuances on the finish.
