Biondi-Santi’s Brunello di Montalcino continues the family history of vinifying Sangiovese Grosso on its own, associated with Clemente Santi and Ferruccio Biondi Santi. Grapes are selected by hand in the estate vineyards. In the cellar, fermentation uses indigenous yeasts in concrete vats, while maturation takes place in large Slavonian oak casks. The approach favours continuity with tradition and a pursuit of elegance and longevity. Tenuta Greppo remains the reference point for a wine in which time in the cellar and subsequent development in bottle play an essential role.
