Biondi-Santi’s Rosso di Montalcino comes from younger vineyards and those yielding grapes with a particularly fruity character. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, and wood maturation follows a shorter course than that of Brunello. Fruit, fragrance and freshness are central to its identity, together with the structure and elegance sought by the house. Originally known as the white-label Brunello Biondi-Santi, it acquired its present name when the Rosso di Montalcino appellation was established in 1983. It is an expression of the territory intended to be enjoyable even when young.
