Description

Noemía is Bodega Noemía’s Malbec associated with a vineyard planted in 1932 at Mainqué in Patagonia’s Río Negro valley. The own-rooted vines originate from massal selection and occupy one and a half hectares, divided into four parcels worked separately. The arid landscape is crossed by a network of channels carrying river water to vineyards on predominantly alluvial soils. Manual harvesting and spontaneous fermentations accompany Hans Vinding-Diers’s approach. The cuvée maintains its connection to this small historic planting, whose restoration marked the beginning of the project.
