Description

Fontecón Rosé comes from a Zárate estate vineyard at Padrenda, in the municipality of Meaño, on granite-based soil containing red clay, locally known as castel. The rosé brings together Caiño Tinto, Espadeiro and Albariño, vinified separately before blending. The grapes are harvested by hand and selected in the vineyard. Winemaking uses both stainless steel and French oak, followed by time on the fine lees. The producer describes a fresh, elegant wine with fruit-led aromas and vibrant natural acidity, which plays a central role in its balance.
