Description

Bollinger’s La Grande Année 2014 brings together Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from nineteen crus, with Aÿ and Verzenay central to the former and Chouilly and Oiry to the latter. Fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels, followed by bottle maturation under cork. The profile combines cherry, lemon, quince and bergamot, followed by hazelnut and almond. The palate is vinous, with fine effervescence and delicate acidity balancing its breadth. A sea-air impression and persistent mineral character shape the finish and extend the wine’s expression across the palate.
