Description

Bollinger R.D. takes its name from Récemment Dégorgé, the decision to present a vintage after extended ageing on lees and shortly after disgorgement. The project grew from Madame Bollinger’s vision, bringing together the complexity of a mature wine and the freshness retained during its long rest. Oak vinification forms part of the cuvée’s development, completed by an Extra Brut dosage. R.D. therefore expresses a distinctive interpretation of time: aromatic maturity accompanies an energetic palate, while the timing of disgorgement marks a new stage in the evolution of the wine.
