Description

Luna di Ponca is Borgo Conventi’s Cru-range Collio Bianco, bringing together Friulano, Chardonnay and Malvasia. Selection starts in the vineyard, with hand harvesting over several passes, and continues in the cellar. The varieties are handled separately: Friulano in stainless steel, Chardonnay and Malvasia in small oak barrels with lees stirring. Blending is followed by further resting before release. The profile combines lemon peel, flowers and ripe apple with suggestions of bread and biscuit. Its structure brings together Chardonnay’s freshness, Friulano’s suppleness and Malvasia’s savoury character in a single expression of the Collio.
