Description

Derthona is Borgogno’s Timorasso from Monleale and the Colli Tortonesi. Guyot-trained vines grow on limestone and silty soils. After hand harvesting, the grapes undergo brief cold maceration; the juice settles in stainless steel and ferments spontaneously in concrete. Maturation continues in stainless steel and then bottle. The general profile recalls pear, peach and white flowers, with nuances of honey and developing mineral notes. The palate is dry, broad and persistent, with freshness accompanying the wine’s substance and supporting its balance throughout the tasting experience.
