Description

Bouchard Père & Fils Aloxe-Corton is made from Pinot Noir grown at the foot of the Corton hill in the northern Côte de Beaune. The grapes come from Les Paulands, a parcel with clay-limestone soils over a marly subsoil. Hand harvesting and careful bunch selection are followed by fermentation in small vessels and gentle pressing, before maturation in French oak barrels. Its general profile combines small-berry fruit, darker fruit notes and spice with a clearly defined structure, while retaining an elegant expression.
