Description

Beaune du Château Blanc brings together Chardonnay from several Beaune Premier Cru climats, each vinified separately before blending. This approach allows Bouchard Père & Fils to combine the characteristics of soils whose clay, limestone and marl content varies between parcels. Grapes are hand harvested and sorted; pressing proceeds in stages, and maturation includes French oak barrels and stainless steel. Aromas suggest white-fleshed fruit, candied citrus, brioche and gingerbread. The palate is broad, with a subtle oak influence and dried-fruit notes that complete its generous expression.
