Description

Les Marconnets lies at the northern edge of Beaune, where Bouchard Père & Fils has owned vines since 1791. This Pinot Noir Premier Cru grows on limestone-rich clay-limestone soils, with outcrops along the slope and beds of grey marly limestone beneath. Grapes are harvested and sorted by hand; fermentation in small vessels is followed by maturation in French oak barrels. Its profile combines fruit with a slightly wild note and discreet oak. The palate has structure and generosity, while retaining elegance and the ability to develop with bottle age.
