Description
Bouchard Père & Fils Beaune Rouge comes mainly from Montagne Saint-Désiré in the southern part of the appellation, continuing the slope beyond Clos des Mouches. Here Pinot Noir grows in a clay-limestone setting associated with the wine’s richness and suppleness. Grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, then fermented in small vessels with destemming adjusted to the vintage. Gentle pressing precedes maturation in French oak barrels. The bouquet presents red fruit and a light oak note, while the palate is rich yet tender, retaining a refined overall expression.
