Description

Bouchard Père & Fils Clos Vougeot is a Pinot Noir Grand Cru from the Côte de Nuits. The historic vineyard was developed by Cistercian monks and contains contrasting soils along its slope, ranging from gravelly limestone to more clay-rich and marly ground. Hand-picked grapes are sorted before fermentation in small vessels, followed by gentle pressing and maturation in French oak barrels. Its profile combines small red and black fruits with spicy accents. A clear sense of structure is accompanied by finesse and elegance, with an established capacity for bottle ageing.
