Description
Bouchard Père & Fils Monthélie Les Duresses is a Pinot Noir Premier Cru from the Côte de Beaune. The climat extends between Monthélie and Auxey-Duresses; the estate’s parcel has clay-limestone soils containing marl and gravel. Grapes ripen relatively late compared with other Monthélie vineyards. Hand harvesting is followed by bunch selection, fermentation in small vessels, gentle pressing and maturation in French oak barrels. The wine combines small-berry fruit with a clearly defined structure and a rounded palate, while retaining the capacity to develop further with bottle age.
