Description
Les Porrets Saint-Georges is a Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru beside the Les Cailles climat. Bouchard Père & Fils acquired its parcel in 2007; Pinot Noir grows on clay-limestone and marly soils facing east and southeast. Hand-picked and sorted grapes are fermented in small vessels, with destemming adjusted to the vintage and gentle pressing. Maturation takes place in French oak barrels. Its profile brings red and black fruits together with a smoky nuance. The palate is generous and structured, supported by elegant tannins and suited to further development in bottle.
