Description

Bouchard Père & Fils Pommard is a Pinot Noir from the Chaffaud, La Croix Blanche, La Levrière and Les Perrières parcels. The south-facing and southeast-facing vineyards occupy limestone soils containing iron. Hand harvesting and bunch selection precede fermentation in small vessels, gentle pressing and maturation in French oak. The profile combines red and black fruit, game nuances and notes from the wood. Its structure is firm and vigorous when young, tending to soften with development as the wine evolves in bottle.
