Description

Pommard Les Pézerolles comes from the northern part of the appellation, in a climat named after a former landowning family. Bouchard Père & Fils’ Pinot Noir parcel faces southeast on limestone soils containing iron-rich deposits. Hand harvesting and sorting precede fermentation in small vessels and gentle pressing, followed by maturation in French oak barrels. The bouquet is fruit-led with oak nuances. Firm structure and a rich palate define the wine in its youth, while further development in bottle gradually brings greater suppleness to its substantial texture.
