Description
Bouchard Père & Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune is a Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir from vineyards a few kilometres north of Beaune. The appellation’s vines occupy limestone-rich slopes, with clay-limestone soils over a marly subsoil. Hand harvesting and bunch selection are followed by fermentation in small vessels and gentle pressing, before maturation in French oak barrels. The bouquet suggests small berries and juicy cherry. The palate is supple and slender, with a fine structure that preserves elegance while allowing the wine to develop further in bottle.
