Description

Bruno Giacosa’s Barbaresco Asili Riserva comes from the Asili vineyard in the village of Barbaresco and is made from Nebbiolo. Clay, limestone and a sandy component shape the soils, with exposures towards the south and southwest. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel, followed by maturation in large French oak casks and further rest in bottle. The 2020 vintage shows ripe small red fruits, with a structure supported by present, integrated tannins. Freshness, balance and persistence define the way the wine develops across the palate.
