Description

Bruno Giacosa’s Barolo Falletto is made from Nebbiolo grown in the southwest-facing Falletto vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba. Purchased in 1980, the estate occupies amphitheatre-shaped slopes with clay-limestone soils. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel, followed by maturation in large French oak casks and a period of rest in bottle. In the 2021 vintage, small red fruits, flowers and light spice accompany a structured, fresh palate. Balanced tannins form part of the austere, elegant character associated with this vineyard and its particular setting.
