Description

Vigna Montosoli is the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG through which Canalicchio di Sopra explores a single vineyard within the namesake cru. Sangiovese grows between 215 and 255 metres above sea level in a vineyard planted in 1997. The soil combines galestro with a clay-loam texture, substantial silt and abundant stones. The estate associates this site with structured, savoury wines supported by acidity. This selection was created to highlight an identity that remains recognisable across vintages, particularly its taut character and mineral dimension.
