Nude represents Cantina Giardino’s idea of a profound, ageworthy Aglianico. Antonio and Daniela De Gruttola connect it with Irpinia’s old vineyards, particularly the heritage of century-old ungrafted vines in Montemarano. Its name suggests a wine left bare, allowing the grape’s structure to express itself through time. Natural fermentation and an extended journey in the cellar belong to that pursuit. This selection centres on preserving old vineyards, manual work and the variety’s capacity to develop, rather than seeking immediate accessibility, and forms an important part of the estate’s exploration of traditional Irpinian reds.
