Description

The Gavino 2021 from Cantina Mesa is a Carignano del Sulcis Superiore DOC from the Sulcis area (Sant'Anna Arresi / Porto Pino). It is made from 100% Carignano grapes, often grown as ungrafted vines on sandy soils, and shows a Mediterranean character with solid structure. Product sheets indicate maturation in large oak casks, contributing to pronounced tannins and a persistent finish. Typical pairings include red meats, game and aged cheeses.
