Description

Terre Brune is a Carignano del Sulcis Superiore produced by Cantina Santadi in the Sulcis area of southwestern Sardinia. It is made mainly from Carignano with a portion of Bovale Sardo (Bovaleddu), largely sourced from old alberello, ungrafted vines planted on sandy coastal soils. After fermentation in stainless steel the wine matures for about 18 months in French oak barriques, showing an intense ruby color, aromas of plum and blueberry, Mediterranean spice and myrtle, plus notes of tobacco and chocolate and an elegant tannic structure.
