Rarity embodies Cantina Terlano’s research into the longevity of white wines. The project involves selections matured for at least ten years on fine lees in pressurised stainless-steel vessels before bottling. Time spent in the cellar becomes an essential part of the wine’s identity and precedes further potential development in bottle. The estate seeks a meeting of maturity and freshness, supported by the character of Terlano’s growing environment. Rarity thus offers an approach to white wine shaped by patience and observation, as well as by harvesting and the initial winemaking process.
