Description

Quarz is Cantina Terlano’s Sauvignon Blanc selection, named after the crystals found in the local volcanic porphyry. In the 2023 vintage, grapes come from south- and southwest-facing vineyards between 300 and 550 metres. Hand harvesting and whole-bunch pressing precede slow fermentation. Lees ageing takes place in stainless steel and large wooden casks before blending. The profile combines citrus, tropical fruit and aromatic herbs with hints of flint. On the palate, juicy fruit, depth and a savoury, persistent finish express the distinctive character sought by the estate in this selection.
