Description

Troy 2022 expresses Cantina Tramin’s approach to mountain-grown Chardonnay. Its vineyards face southeast at 500–550 metres, on soils of calcareous gravel and loam. Hand harvesting includes careful selection, followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barriques. The wine remains on its lees for eleven months in wood and a further twenty-two months in stainless steel. Aromas bring together citrus, tropical fruit, chamomile and touches of toasted nuts. Freshness and a saline impression accompany a long, juicy finish, giving the ripe fruit a distinctly lively frame on the palate.
