Description

Canus Ribolla Gialla comes from the hillside vineyards of Gramogliano in the Friuli Colli Orientali. The east-facing vineyard grows on ponca, alternating layers of marl and sandstone with seams of clay. Grapes are picked by hand into crates, destemmed and gently pressed. After the must settles, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by a period in bottle before release. The aromatic profile suggests orange, bergamot and citrus blossom. On the palate, Ribolla’s characteristic acidity meets a savoury component, creating a fresh, clearly defined expression of the grape and its hillside setting.
