Les Vergers forms part of Caroline Morey’s selection of white Premier Crus from Chassagne-Montrachet. Established with the 2014 vintage, the domaine combines vineyards inherited from her father with leased parcels. For this Chardonnay, the cellar philosophy aims to preserve the character of its origin: fermentation in 350-litre barrels is followed by maturation on the lees, with the duration adjusted to the cru and vintage. Filtration is avoided before bottling. It offers an interpretation of Chassagne built around continuity in the vineyard and a restrained approach to the wine throughout its maturation.
