Description

Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet represents a particularly small origin within Caroline Morey’s range. She works just a few rows of Chardonnay in this Grand Cru, located entirely within Chassagne-Montrachet. The cuvée joined her portfolio as the domaine expanded in 2017. Her approach to white wines remains restrained, with fermentation in wood and subsequent maturation on the lees. The use of 350-litre barrels and controlled proportions of new oak aims to preserve vineyard identity. This wine connects a tiny holding with detailed craftsmanship and the knowledge of local terroirs that Caroline developed through her family’s work.
