Description

Carpineto’s Vigneto Sant’Ercolano 2000 is a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano produced from the single S. Ercolano vineyard in the Montepulciano area. The blend is approximately 85% Sangiovese with the remaining 15% made up of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; the wine was matured about 12 months in small oak barrels and rested in bottle for over 45 months. Deep in color, it shows aromas of black currant and black pepper with subtle vanilla and licorice notes, and a full-bodied structure with pronounced tannins.
