Description

Cerretalto is Casanova di Neri’s Brunello di Montalcino from an intimate landscape, with grapes coming mainly from an amphitheatre-shaped vineyard beside a small watercourse. The Sangiovese has small, loosely packed bunches; the winery emphasises the contribution of mineral-rich soils, the local microclimate and low yields. The project takes shape only in years considered suitable. In the estate’s general description, graphite and sanguine nuances accompany harmonious structure and a persistent finish, expressing its interpretation of this particular place and the wine it can produce.
