Tenuta Nuova is Casanova di Neri’s Brunello di Montalcino, created through a research project focused on vineyards in the southeastern part of the area. Sangiovese grows in a landscape marked by Mediterranean scrub, with the aim of combining structure, fine tannins and the ability to develop over time. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand, followed by further sorting after destemming. Fermentation takes place without added yeasts in truncated-cone stainless steel vats, with punchdowns. Subsequent maturation in wood and further ageing in bottle complete this interpretation of Montalcino’s Sangiovese.
