Description

The 2020 Poggio ai Merli from Castellare di Castellina is a single-vineyard, 100% Merlot produced at Poggio ai Merli in Castellina in Chianti and classified as Toscana IGT. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in barrique with a pre-bottling maturation of about 24–30 months, it displays an intense ruby color and aromas of black fruit with subtle toasted notes. On the palate it is soft and balanced, with fine tannins and good persistence, pairing well with red meats and hearty dishes.
