Description

The 2020 Il Solatìo from Castello di Albola is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione grown in the Radda in Chianti area from a small, steep single-vineyard plot. Made from pure Sangiovese at roughly 550–580 m elevation, it is vinified using traditional extended maceration and aged in Allier oak before further bottle maturation. The bouquet shows refined red fruit, spice and toasted/tobacco hints; the palate is structured with fine tannins and a long finish. Pairs well with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
