Vigneto Bellavista is Castello di Ama’s Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, combining Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera. The project grew from research into the estate’s individual parcels that began in 1978. The namesake valley has stony soils, predominantly clay and limestone, with south and southwest exposures between 427 and 515 metres above sea level. Malvasia Nera contributes the floral, savoury character described by the winery. The general profile centres on finesse and elegance alongside structural strength and the capacity to develop greater complexity over time.
