Description

L’Apparita is Castello di Ama’s pure Merlot, first produced in 1985 and classified as Toscana IGT. It comes from two plots at the top of the Bellavista vineyard, where clay-rich soils and open-lyre training define the site. The vineyard sits at around 501 metres above sea level. Its name refers to the distant view of Siena’s town hall tower from the summit. The estate describes a style that brings freshness and elegance together with power, and identifies the capacity for long ageing as an important part of its character.
