Castello di Neive’s Barbaresco Santo Stefano is made from Nebbiolo grown in the vineyard of that name within the Albesani geographical mention. The site occupies the part of this hill closest to the Tanaro River, in the municipality of Neive, and has a long history of treating its Nebbiolo separately. The wine has a bright garnet colour and a profile combining varietal expression with fresh balsamic notes. Integrated tannins support a harmonious, persistent structure. This interpretation of Barbaresco retains an austere element and is suited to development in bottle.
