Castello di Neive produces Santo Stefano Riserva only in its best years, using Nebbiolo from the Santo Stefano vineyard within Albesani at Neive. The vineyard lies towards the Tanaro and appears in the estate’s history as early as the eighteenth century. The wine shows a deep garnet colour and a profile of ripe small fruits, dried flowers and spices, accompanied by balsamic and minty nuances. Body, acidity and tannic texture all contribute to its structure. Vintage selection and the balance between these elements support its capacity to develop over time.
