Description

The 2018 Barolo Castelletto from Castello di Perno is a Barolo DOCG made from 100% Nebbiolo grown in the Castelletto cru of Monforte d’Alba. Fermentation begins spontaneously with a pied-de-cuve and is followed by extended skin maceration, then ageing for a minimum period in large Austrian oak barrels with a short passage through concrete before bottling. The wine presents a traditional, structured profile with supportive tannins and clear ageing potential. It pairs well with red meats and mature cheeses.
