Description

White Bones is Catena Zapata’s Chardonnay from selected rows within Block 1 of the Adrianna vineyard, in Gualtallary, in Mendoza’s Tupungato area. The site reaches around 1,450 metres above sea level, where intense sunlight meets cool nights and marked differences between daytime and night-time temperatures. Its name refers to the calcareous layers and fossilised animal bones in the soil, traces of an ancient river. The wine’s identity grows from this particular parcel and the Catena family’s work to understand individual sections of its estate vineyards.
