Les Murgers is a premier cru Cécile Tremblay connects directly with its stones: the name recalls the small walls built in vineyards, and the parcel has particularly stony ground. Its first separate release as a premier cru was in 2009, after a period when the grower preferred to include its grapes in the village wine. Her stated aim is to preserve fruit and make the site legible. Organic and biodynamic farming, hand harvesting, vinification in wood and barrel maturation complete the path of this Pinot Noir, expressing a patient, evolving relationship with the vineyard.
