Description

Barons de Rothschild’s Rare Collection Blanc de Blancs 2012 comes from Chardonnay grown in the Grand Crus of Avize, Cramant, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The wine spends at least eight years on the lees and at least twelve months resting after disgorgement, with Extra Brut dosage. Its colour is bright, pale gold. A chalky component accompanies white fruit, candied lemon, dried apricot and toasted almond on the nose. The palate combines breadth and freshness, with citrus and lemon zest. Toasted nuances of mocha and vanilla emerge on the long finish.
