Description

Les Champs d'Argent is the wine that inspired Charles Lachaux's personal project. The Aligoté comes from a family parcel on the lower part of Vosne-Romanée, with very pale marl soils and plantings dating partly to the 1930s and partly to the 1990s. Choosing to vinify these grapes separately gives renewed prominence to a variety that has often remained in the background in Burgundy. Pressing whole bunches and fermenting with native yeasts place the emphasis on the raw material. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration, preserving the individual character of its origin.
