Description

Aux Argillas occupies a small parcel in northern Nuits-Saint-Georges, close to Aux Thorey. Pinot Noir vines planted around 1955 benefit from a southerly exposure and afternoon sunshine, while the vineyard's position at the entrance to a valley allows cooler air to circulate continually. Charles Lachaux closely oversees cultivation in partnership with the grower on land that has been farmed organically for many years. Whole bunches, native yeasts and gentle extraction guide the cellar work. Bottling without fining or filtration supports a clear interpretation of this small Premier Cru site.
