Description

Château Bas Rouge comes from Vernègues in Provence and belongs to the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation. It is an organic red in which Syrah contributes to the fruity, spicy character. The colour is dark and intense; the aromatic profile suggests ripe blueberry, spices, cedar and mint. A soft entry leads into a broad, supple middle palate that retains a sense of power. The finish remains rounded and fruit-filled. The cuvée forms part of the Château Bas range alongside white and rosé versions within the work of the Provençal property.
